Welcome to the new Studio Mer. If you follow me on Instagram you may already know about the recent changes that have been going on around here.
A few weeks ago I made the decision to completely rebrand my business, including changing the name from Fashiony Fab. While the change happened very quickly, it’s something that had been on my mind for a while now.
Fashiony Fab was originally created as a lifestyle blog almost 5 years ago. While I absolutely loved the name and inspiration behind it, it was no longer in tune with what I wanted to communicate as a designer.
I was no longer feeling connected to my branding elements, so I had to follow my own advice and completely rebrand. This was the perfect time to also choose a different design that was warmer and inviting. From the color palette, the logo, and website.
Let me tell you that coming up with a name for your business is not an easy task. When I decided I was ready to change the name of Fashiony Fab, I thought it would be easy to come up with something unique. You can imagine that this was followed by hours and hours of name ideas that just didn’t make the cut.
Then it finally made sense. I wanted to communicate the idea of creativity in movement, always around us, always a part of us. ‘Mer’ is not only the word ‘sea’ in french, but it also happens to be the initials of my name. It felt like the perfect combination to communicate what design means to me and how I work on each creative project.
That’s how the name Studio Mer came to be. Then it all fell into place, from the color palette to the logo, website, social media styling.
I took this opportunity to also improve my client process, update my portfolio and services. But don’t worry, let me assure you that I will continue sharing branding and designs with you, in the hopes that it will help you grow your business and make it stand out.
I still have more surprises coming up, like free content, a brand new email newsletter, more blog posts, and projects.
Please feel free to explore the new site and send me any questions you may have.
